New Good Practice Guidance launched! 2012

Paths for All have launched two new good practice guidance documents

The ‘Lowland Path Construction’ guide is now online, packed full of useful technical information, and has a new name:

Lowland Paths Guide – A Good Practice Guide to Planning, Design, Construction and Maintenance in Scotland

This new guide has fully revised and updated the original good practice guide which was published in 2001 and covers the different stages of path construction and maintenance projects.

Shared Use Paths in Scotland – Guidance on Promoting, Developing and Managing Paths for Responsible Shared Use

This guidance focuses on the promotion, development and management of paths in ways which enable, encourage and sustain active travel, recreation and enjoyment, by walkers, cyclists, horse riders, people with disabilities and other non-motorised users, and in ways which encourage respect for the environment and other path users.
