Prove your CDM skills... 2015

If you're a qualified engineer designing paths or bridges, you can join the Institute of Civil Engineer (ICE) Health and Safety Register

If you are a qualifed engineer designing paths or bridges, you can join the Institute of Civil Engineer (ICE) Health and Safety Register to demonstrate your health and safety skills, knowledge and capability to potential clients, who may want to hire you.

The ICE Health and Safety Register is a published, regulated list of professionally qualified engineers who have capability, knowledge and skills to carry out the designer and principal designer duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).

The Register helps to show to clients that you meet the skills, knowledge, experience and capability requirments of CDM 2015.  It is proof of your capability to carry out work in a way that improves health and safety on projects.

To join the register, you will need to have:

- A technical competence in construction, e.g. IEng, CEng or equivalent

- Health and safety skills, knowledge and experience that exceeds the basic minimum technical standards

- Successfully completed an ICE Health and Safety Register Assessment.
